I specialize in marriage and couples therapy in the Quad Cities and also provide individual counseling for adults navigating relationship stress, anxiety, or major life transitions.
My professional career began in 1991 as a youth counselor in a residential treatment program, and later transitioned to working with children in foster care and providing in-home family counseling services. In 1997, I became a probation officer, supporting ex-offenders and their families with re-entry after incarceration.
In 2003, I earned my Master of Science in Counseling from Western Illinois University and received the National Certified Counselor (NCC) credential. In 2012, I completed an 18‑month residency in marriage and family therapy and became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Following, I became employed by the Department of Veterans Affairs as a marriage and family therapist serving combat veterans. From 2017-2024, I provided counseling services as the Employee Assistance Program Coordinator for the Department of the Army at Rock Island Arsenal.
During my professional career, I have been trained to administer the Prepare–Enrich premarital assessment, obtained certification as a Real Colors personality assessment facilitator, and completed the requirements through the Department of Veterans Affairs to be recognized as a Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) provider. I also previously facilitated the Quad Cities Crohn’s and Colitis Support Group.
I am a Clinical Fellow of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and previously served as Secretary for the Illinois Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
I am a lifelong resident of the Quad Cities, have been married for 22 years, and am the parent of three young adults.
